Seth Horowitz Pens PRNEWS Article on Crisis PR Strategies in the Wake of Diddy’s Verdict

Horowitz Agency Founder and President Seth Horowitz recently authored a piece in PRNEWS, where he unpacked crisis PR strategies in the wake of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ acquittal from charges of sex-trafficking and racketeering conspiracy. The article examines whether or not the disgraced rapper can forge a path to forgiveness from the public.

Seth opines that while the graphic images and videos  shown during the trial are likely to follow Combs, “as seen time and time again, a reputation marred by wrongdoing does not always ruin one’s career.”

He goes on to explain that while the after-effects of the trial could liken Combs to other public figures such as singer Chris Brown and actor Kevin Spacey, the rapper may be able to make a similar return to the entertainment and entrepreneurial spaces by employing key PR strategies like “retreating from the public eye by avoiding interviews, social media, appearances, brand collaborations and projects to quietly rehabilitate one’s image.”

“Combs’ sentencing is set for Oct. 3, 2025, when a clearer path to his potential rehabilitation will be revealed,” Seth concludes. “Although it will certainly be a laborious task, rebranding Combs’ image is possible by remaining under the radar in the aftermath of his conviction, as evidenced by celebrity comebacks from even the biggest scandals.”
